Dogs of Soho – Spot

Name: Spot (French Bulldog)

Occupation: Mascot for Westwood Capital (a boutique investment bank where his mom works), and canine partner in OnTheSpotTutor.com, where he helps kids overcome learning anxieties.

Birthday / Age: Spot just celebrated his 3rd birthday on August 2!  This is 21 in people years, so he spent his birthday enjoying his favorite cocktail legally – a Salty Dog made with Bulldog gin!  Both Vin et Fleurs on Thompson and The Little Prince on Prince welcome him al fresco, and the SoHo Grand Hotel is totally dog friendly in all public areas.

Favorite Snack: Mom’s gourmet leftovers or whatever they are serving behind the counter at The Pet Bar on Thompson St – his favorite SoHo stop for everything from hoodies to poop bags!

Favorite Place to Mark Territory: Spot is very considerate of the pedestrians and horticulture in SoHo – he does his business over the subway grates or at the Washington Square Dog Run.

Favorite Thing about Living in Soho: Spot loves going next door to visit his best Frenchie friend, Bruno, at the Village Tailor (Sullivan and Prince) where his mom takes the laundry, and chillin’ at Fair Folks Cafe on Houston where his mom pays just $25 a month for unlimited iced lattes, but honestly his FAVORITE thing is probably sneaking in to Vesuvio playground after hours to play “bad-ass rat-catcher”. Gross!!
