The Hat Shop Turns 19 Today!

The Hat Shop Turns 19 Today!  Today, September 9, 2014, is the 19th anniversary of The Hat Shop!  A small celebration will be on-going throughout the day and cake will be served!

The Hat Shop at 120 Thompson Street is a charming staple in the neighborhood.  Owner Linda Pagan {who also lives in SoHo} is the expert on custom hats and has a cult-like following amongst celebrity clients and locals.

The Hat Shop Turns 19 Today!

The Hat Shop, while only being around 400 square feet, is known for their wide selection and variety of hats.  Linda also offers her own in-house line favorites and works with 30 New York milliners for custom hats.

The Hat Shop has been written about in the NY Times, NY Post, Time Out New York, and several other publications.  Their staff is well-versed for the newbie to “hat addict”. All hats can be custom ordered tailored to individual needs.  As taken from the website, the collection falls into three basic categories: function, finishing, and flaunting.

  • The functional hat provides sun protection in the summer and warmth in the winter.
  • The finishing hat combines form and function to build, enhance, & finish an outfit
  • The flaunting hat is not for the faint hearted but rather for the frivolous femme fatale.
