Ligne Roset – My First Soho Furniture Sample Sale!
When I went to the Ligne Roset showroom Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 155 Wooster street in Soho, I knew that the sample sale would be starting the next morning through Sunday, December 15, 2013. There were at least 20 people unloading trucks that were packed from their warehouse for the event.
Items were being moved to accommodate additional pieces on the upper and lower-level sales floor. Similar to Apple release dates, I learned that Ligne Roset’s loyal customers line up the first morning before the sample sale starts. Ligne Roset – My First Soho Furniture Sample Sale!
Ligne Roset is a French modern furniture company that has over 200 stores and 1,000 retail distributors. One of its flagships is in Soho, NYC. The company was founded by Antoine Roset in 1860 manufacturing walking sticks and in 1936, started manufacturing furniture. One of Ligne Roset’s most recognized pieces is Michel Ducaroy’s Togo Sofa designed in 1973.
After visiting the showroom, I learned that Ligne Roset collaborates with both established and up-and-coming contemporary designers. They sell furniture, lighting, rugs, textiles and contemporary accessories.
During their sample sales, trucks deliver items from their warehouses throughout the entire weekend-long event. Loyal customers stop by several times to keep an eye on items that arrived in between visits. Make sure to stop by the Ligne Roset sample sale December 13-15 at 155 Wooster Street 10AM-6PM. [GARD]
