NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2014, Soho Edition!

I almost missed it!  It’s the start of the Summer 2014 NYC Restaurant Week (running July 21 and ending August 7, 2014). This season, Restaurant Week is 17 days!  If you recall, the Winter 2014 Restaurant Week was 18.

NYC Restaurant Week

The premise of Restaurant Week is that you can get a three-course meal for just $25 for lunch and $38 for dinner.   While I’ve overheard people complain about not getting a normal “entrée” sized portion for dinner, no one can complain for a $25 three-course lunch in NYC.
For a list of all participating restaurants, click here. There are several restaurants in Soho participating during the Summertime vs. the Winter, such as El Toro Blanco, Socarrat Paella BarIndochine, Ken & Cook and Lafayette!

  • Mezzogiorno (Italian) – Open for lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and Sunday
    • A better deal/option if you are in the mood for Italian and in Soho would be to use the Groupon Reserve where you can get up to 30% off your entire meal at Mezzogiorno. I attached a screenshot below:

Mezzogiorno

  • Savore (Italian) – Open for lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and Sunday
    • Although this restaurant is a little “touristy” if the weather gets nicer in March, they might set up the outside dining, which might be fun for a quick bite.
  • Socarrat Paella Bar (Spanish) – Open for lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and Sunday

One of the restaurants that is no longer participating is The Dutch (American), however Lafayette is another Andrew Carmellini restaurant that seems to have taken the place. Have you tried any of these restaurants for restaurant week?  Share your experiences! Facebook Twitter Instagram [GARD]
