Serious NYE Parties Last Night In SoHo

The “Soho Strut” Facebook feed is filled with photos from New Year’s parties all around SoHo…here are a few:

The best photo goes to Raoul’s, who looked like they had burlesque dancers! {photo courtesy of The Hat Shop}

Raoul’s is definitely on my list for next year’s New Year’s Eve plans!

Next up was SoHo Grand which had a Black & White masquerade ball from 9pm until “late”.  General admission was $195 and there was a DJ and dancing. (masks were mandatory)

Another hotel, the Mondrian SoHo, hosted a party at Mister H which was a 5 hour premium open bar from 9pm-2am.

If you wanted to keep things low-key, Pera Soho offered a 5-course meal by Executive Chef Pete Dalitsouris and music was provided by DJ Maggie.

Party favors and a midnight raffle added to the evening.  Main seating reservations took place from 9pm onwards (the meal started at $55 and an optional bar package was available to dining guests.

Another low-key option was Back Forty West‘s New Year’s Eve “Smoke and Fire” dinner.  Beginning with a Fireplace Roasted Antipasto Plate, the feast continued with a round of communally served salads and appetizers and entrees included a thick Ribeye Cowboy Steak served Fiorentina Style, Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder with Harissa, Carrot Slaw and Flatbread, or Whole on the Bone Black Sea Bass Smoked over a bed of Fennel with Meyer Lemon Aioli.

For $75, dining started at 7:00pm until 11:00pm.  Beverages were charged separately.

Finally, for those of you who were up early enough…The Dutch is offering their brunch menu Today (January 1) and tomorrow (January 2) in addition to their normal Saturday and Sunday options.
