Taste Of the Nation at 82 Mercer Monday, April 28, 2014
Normally events held at 82 Mercer Street are free trade shows or fashion week events. On Monday, April 28, 2014, Taste of the Nation, a large-scale, full-price, eating event will take place from 7-10PM Monday, April 28, 2014 at 82 Mercer Street.
At first glance, tickets seem rather expensive at $225 for General Admission and $425 for VIP Admission per person. However, if you are looking for an event that you might be rubbing elbows with famous chefs like Stephen Collucci, Scott Conant, Michael Chernow, Marc Forgione, it might be well worth it.
I first saw Taste of the Nation on GiltCity (for the next 4 days you can save a whole 20% and pay $180 GA or $240 VIP admission price) and knew it would be a perfect post.
The event will bring together over 75 of New York City’s most notable chefs and bartenders under one roof at 82 Mercer’s sprawling bi-level event space, providing an exclusive opportunity to savor dishes and drinks from the city’s top culinary talent.
The three-hour event enables you to try samples from top NYC restaurants and participate in a silent auction where famous designers have donated goods. Funds raised will support the No Kid Hungry / Share Our Strength campaign as well as City Harvest, Hunger Solutions NY, Food Bank for New York City and New York City Coalition Against Hunger.
Guests will sample culinary offerings from the likes of Soho Favorites:
